It
was a lazy Sunday afternoon and Kitty was bored.
Practice for the day had been canceled, or rather, simply not scheduled, because Maki had a movie shoot and a cold to deal with at the same time so Ruki was throwing a hissy fit at the fact that she was being made to work when she should be tucked in bed to recover. As leader, Kai knew very well that there were some fights he couldn’t win, and therefore he hadn’t even tried to wrestle Ruki away from the actress’s side. Kitty was all for letting Ruki pout in a corner while Maki was on set. What she was not okay with was that while Ruki was busy throwing himself a pity party, she was left with an empty weekend to fill. A very empty weekend, as there were no concerts or events or even sales to visit, and going outside simply to wander around aimlessly without any security at all would have been an awful idea. So, here she was; bored and flipping through the channels on television with disinterest. With a sigh as she made the full circuit of channels yet again, Kitty looked over at Reita on the other side of the room. He was messing away with his bass and his laptop without a care in the world. “No.” “Eh?” “Not a chance.” “But I haven’t even asked anything yet!” Kitty wailed. “I’m not taking you out to see some stupid movie.” “But I didn’t ask you to take me to a movie!” Reita snorted. “I can see you thinking about it.” “Well, I am now.” “We’re not going.” Kitty huffed. “Why not?” “Because you’re thinking about dragging me out to a stupid kids’ movie!” “It’s cute.” “Stupid.” “It has animated puppy dogs!” “Stupid.” “Fine then, we’ll just sit here.” Kitty huffed and hugged a pillow to her chest. She leaned back against the arm of the couch and glared at Reita as he ignored her and tapped away at the keys on his laptop. “That’s cheating.” “Eh?” “That,” Reita failed to clarify, vaguely gesturing in Kitty’s general direction. “That’s cheating.” “What on earth are you talking about?” Grumbling as he was forced to articulate it, Reita explained, “That whole being cute at me thing. That’s cheating.” “I’m not being cute,” Kitty replied, genuinely perplexed. “I’m pissed.” “And pouting.” “I’m bored.” “You don’t always pout when you’re bored.” “When I’m pissed at Ruki because he’s the one making me bored, I do,” Kitty countered. Reita gave her a look. “You only pout when you want something.” “Or when Ruki’s pissing me off.” “And you want Kai to let you hit him.” Kitty shrugged. “He deserves it.” Reita could only agree with the statement. He went back to pressing his original point. “It’s still cheating.” “What?” “Pouting like that.” “Like what?” “All cute like that, it’s not fair.” “I’m not being cute,” Kitty repeated, adding, “And the only thing about this that’s unfair is that we all have to suffer because Ruki is 30 going on 3.” “It’s not fair that you’re being cute to get me to take you to see a stupid movie.” “I’m not being cute!” Kitty huffed, and then added in a pouting grumble, “And I didn’t ask to go see a movie.” Reita just sighed. “See, that. That’s cheating.” Exasperated, Kitty threw the pillow in her hands up in the air. “How?! I’m not even doing anything!” she protested, writhing around on the couch, half in surrender to her utter boredom and half in response to Reita’s unfair accusations. “You’re being cute,” he said, entirely serious. “I’m not being cute!” “Cheating.” Kitty huffed again and buried herself in the pillows that had managed to stay on the couch with her. Since her very existence was apparently an act of cheating, Kitty wished to dissolve into nothingness, hoping that she wouldn’t be able to be bored in oblivion. “That’s still cheating.” Kitty just stared at him in disbelief for a moment before she hopped up, shouting, “Fine, I give up! We don’t have to go see a movie and I’m not gonna try cheating you into it anymore.” Her exasperation and resignation were blurred together as she shook out her legs to let the cargo pants she was lounging in unroll from how they’d gotten bunched up as she was rolling around on the couch. Reita’s smirk of satisfaction lasted only as long as it took for Kitty to take a few steps towards the door of their apartment before pulling her t-shirt off. Reita’s mind blurred with heady anticipation, but then he registered that she was trotting lightly away from him, still making her way towards the door. “Where are you going?” “To Uruha’s,” Kitty replied non-chalantly. “With Leslie stuck in America this week, he’s gotta be lonely enough to put up with me just hanging around. Unlike you.” “Uruha?” “Hm. You’re boring; and now that you’re just yelling at me for no reason . . . Uruha will play with me. He might even let me have one of his energy drinks!” “You think you’re going to Uruha’s dressed like that?” Reita demanded, his eyes roaming over the wide swaths of pale skin she’d exposed, stretches that were only interrupted by the lacy fabric of her bra. She made for a draw dropping figure in the get-up. “I’m taking Sheila,” Kitty explained, calling up the name she’d given Reita’s motorcycle as her fingers wrapped around the leather of the jacket meant to keep her safe on the beast. “And it’s way too hot out to put up with wearing anything under this stupid jacket. I would roast alive! Besides, since Leslie’s a soccer freak, she walks around in her bra all the time! Uruha’s got to be used to it by now, he won’t mind. And even if he does, I'm sure she'll have a t-shirt I can borrow.” Reita set his bass down as quickly as he could without smashing it to pieces and dashed over to Kitty as she was caught up in trying to shove her feet into the bike-boots that Reita had bought her without unlacing them. He caught her around the waist as she gave up with the feat and he lifted her out of the boots just before she would have stepped from them on her own. “Uruha won’t mind?” Reita asked. Holding her of the ground and tucking his chin against her mostly bare shoulder, he demanded gruffly, “Who cares if Uruha won’t mind? You should be worried about whether or not I’ll mind.” Squeaking in surprise, Kitty chirped, “Put me down!” Adjusting his grip to loft her even higher with his knees securing her legs so that she couldn’t kick out at him, Reita began to waddle awkwardly back to the couch as she squirmed. “I can’t let my little housecat go outside,” he rumbled teasingly. “What would happen if she got hurt by the big bad world?” “Bakira!” “Hmm? What is it little Kitty-cat?” Reita hummed as he threw himself, and Kitty with him, down on the couch. Kitty shrieked as she was dragged along in free-fall, “Lemme go!” “Why? So you can run off and go be all adorable in front of Uruha?” Reita teased. “I don’t think so, not when you look so tempting. Uruha’s my best friend after all; we have similar . . . appetites for things,” he added, his voice a bit more gruff than it had been earlier as he trailed his fingers along Kitty’s bare stomach. To a normal woman, the gesture would have been insanely arousing and they would have given into the seduction in a heartbeat. Kitty merely pouted. “I thought I told you already,” Reita growled in her ear, “That’s cheating.” With that, he poked her sharply in the side, causing her to squeal and squirm as she fought against his tickle attack. “BAKIRA!” She lashed out as forcefully as she could, but even had they been on a level playing field, she was no match for his 185cm of muscle. As it was when she was already pinned down, she was at the bassist’s mercy. “Now that’s cheating,” she panted when he finally relented, easing his onslaught so she could have a chance to breathe. Reita merely chuckled and tapped his fingers along her ribcage in patterns that he knew would make her dizzy. He knew all her little pressure points, the ones that made her squeal, and the ones that made her scream. And he was not at all above exploiting his knowledge as he played his fingers along her like his bass. Uruha be damned, Kitty was his and his alone to see like this. Hell, work be damned. With Kitty mewling and purring and squirming beneath him like this, he couldn’t even remember what it had been that he was supposed to be working on. With a shirtless, ticklish Kitty in his arms, there was very little that Reita could remember at all aside from how to get her to melt beneath his touch. It didn’t take much more teasing at all for Kitty to give up entirely on getting away. She wriggled around to face Reita and bit down on his nose, Tamashii and all. Then she whispered in his ear, “That’s cheating, you know.” In his defense, Reita asserted, “You were being cute.” “You are being sexy.” “So?” “So, that’s cheating.” Reita huffed and silenced Kitty’s complaints with a kiss. As the afternoon wore on, Ruki called them in tears. Uruha called in boredom, Aoi in annoyance that Uruha had called the bassist before he’d called his fellow guitarist, Ruki called again in a huff to announce that he would be ignoring them for the rest of the day because they hadn’t called him back yet, and Kai to see how Reita’s project was getting on. They were all ignored. Holding the attention of either Reita or Kitty was something that usually required a little bit of cheating to accomplish, and the rest of the GazettE always played by the rules. ♡♥Finite♥♡ |
