marriage is a scary step, but I don't think it often feels 'sinister' . . .
However, for a wedding, the lyrics are awfully eerie and not at all happy, and the track's heavy atmosphere is totally not suited to a wedding environment either . . . and the dark styling is more than a little creepy, too. I get that he's second guessing her but really, doesn't she have a cell phone or something? Hell, couldn't she find a random passerby with a cell phone? I'd be second guessing her too. Especially, after the whole 'oh by the way we had a fight' thing, but the first two minutes of the MV just feels wrong because of the whole audio-visual mismatch. The happy scenes far out number the 'something is wrong' scenes and that actually undermines the happy scenes because if makes a listen look for something that's wrong, making it feel like the happiness as a whole is just a sham, which it's not, supposedly.
I'd have liked it much better if there was another layer to it, like in TVXQ's Why Did I Fall in Love With You, TaeYang's Wedding Dress, or better yet something quirky like in K.Will's Please Don't.
Personally, I would have liked it if the fight had been about the girl spending time (and getting caught doing something rather risque like lingerie shopping) with one or more of the groomsmen and the whole wedding was almost called off, but it turns out that the time with the boys was about making a huge surprise of awesomeness for the lucky husband and everybody ends up etc. As it is, this is just a vaguely sinister take on a very prototypical cute theme. It could have been great though.
I like the song. It's nothing spectacular, but it's still good; powerful and vibrant and quite lovely, for a context that is not a straightforwardly happy wedding.
