To The Beautiful You (2012) {KDrama Review}

Cute & Quirky . . . But Not My Favorite.

           I deeply enjoyed watching this drama and I would definitely recommend giving it a go. But It's nothing of any cinematic genius. In fact, it's pretty much one of the few things that I could consider a guilty pleasure. It's an Idol Drama, but that's not why it's not all that good. The acting is superb for what the script allows, the writing is just plain terrible. It was painfully terrible in places, utterly beyond belief and simply atrocious overall. I don't really have time to give a full review, but short and sweet: it's a cute watch, the main trio are endearing, the ending is a cop-out, and the dog is the best part. This drama really isn't very good, and yet, I watched it all the way through and truly enjoyed doing so. It's on Netflix, so try it out.

 As long as you can set aside your grasp on reality and you don't require good writing to enjoy the situations presented by a story, this drama is really a treat to watch. And there's plenty of eye-candy, too.
